About the project:
ICON is another exploration on thermo sensitive inks
by Dario Buzzini.
ICON is a ceramic lamp that changes color as times passes by. More
precisely, once switched on, Icon starts to heat up and the more the
ceramic lampshade (painted with thermo chromic ink) gets hot, the more
the its color changes from black to white.
Once the lamp is switched off, Icon gets back to its original color.
More variations on the theme are being developed and new models with
revealing patterns and text are being prototyped.
About the product: ICON is a ceramic lamp designed by Dario Buzzini and beautifully
handcrafted in Italy by the ceramic master Sergio Zarpellon.
The lamp is manufactured in two different colors: Polished Glazed
White and Polished Glazed Black.
